Are your craft supplies overwhelming your workspace? If so, it's time to declutter and organize! Whether you’re a seasoned crafter or just starting out, having an organized space can boost your creativity and productivity. Recently, we transitioned from a retail store to an online store, and I learned some valuable lessons in organizing craft supplies. Here are my top tips and tricks to help you streamline your crafting area.
1. The Keep, Toss, Sell Method: This method, inspired by a TLC show, Clean Sweep is my go-to for decluttering. Here’s how it works:
Keep: Retain items you use frequently or have a clear plan for.
Toss: Discard items that are no longer useful, broken, or past their prime.
Sell: Pass on items with value that you no longer need. Consider online marketplaces, craft swaps, or local thrift stores.
2. Eco-Friendly Discarding: When tossing items, think eco-friendly. Recycle what you can, and donate usable items to local charities or creative reuse stores.
3. Use Clear Bins: I prefer clear bins over boxes because they allow you to see what's inside easily. This saves time and helps keep your space looking tidy. Choose medium-sized bins to avoid making them too heavy.

4. Manage Large Items: For larger items, like antique furniture, evaluate their worth and storage feasibility. If it’s too bulky or you haven't used it in years, it might be time to let it go.
5. Stay Organized: Regularly review and reorganize your supplies. As your crafting needs change, so should your storage methods.
